Mtispiri 2010, Ltd

Ltd “Mtispiri 2010″ was founded on the 30th of March, 2010 with the main task of mining and recycling Bentonite clays, under the license about Askana Bentonite clays (Vaniskedis District) issued by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia (№0000150; Issue Date: 03.02.2011, For 20 years period). There is a unique deposit of Bentonite clays in Georgia (Ozurgeti, village Mtispiri), which in terms of quality is outstanding. (A brief description can be seen in the collection of ‘USSR-Geology”, Volume tenth). The deposit is composed of two districts – the Tsixe district and the Vaniskedi District. The working processes were firstly started at Tsixe district in 1946, conducted by the Miners Board of Ozurgeti town till 1997. The production for bonding and drilling purposes was sent to the industries of Soviet Union as well as some other foreign countries. The main customers of the above-mentioned products were: ‘Avtovaz’ (Russia – Toliat), Yaroslavl mechanical engineering plant, Automobile building plants of “Kamaz”, Gork, “kraz” and the ones of Belorussia, also the wineries, oils and fats processing industries and many other fields of the economy. Bentonite from Askana was used in Egypt as a hydroisolative material for the construction of Aswan dam.
